I am Anh Thu Nguyen,
a facilitator for body tenderness and bodywork,
dance and movement
– trained in Hakomi body psychotherapy
and Transformative Dance.
I love creating and facilitating spaces that bring along healing.
I am the daughter and granddaughter of Vietnamese people who fled Vietnam after the American War. My family has built themselves a new home in the diaspora abroad.
I am here to listen to you.
Your story – the way you choose to share it:
through silence between the words,
through movement,
in the spoken and the unspoken forms of self-expression.
I will be with you
as you reflect the difficult and abandoned aspects
of your personal or family history.
We move through the pain.
Together, we will look out for a breeze of respectful lightness
regarding of what has been survived.
By that, we gradually,
come closer to the subtle life energy within the story.
… is based on Transformative Dance,
a dance journey and movement meditation: through dance, expression becomes healing.
… in a society that overemphasizes seriousness above all else, we discover the power and hidden potential of silliness and equanimity.
… we write and paint what is moving through inside of us: a syllable, scraps of words, pieces, fragments, a line to express our feelings.
